The film is full of colour, detail and beauty like no other, the art style is vigorous and unique, and the character designs are fresh, exuberant and interesting. The animation - in a word - is mind-blowing. The amount of action and detail on screen at any one time is so vast the film begs for repeat viewings. Madhouse handled the production, with second key animation from Gainax - the films full development totaled seven years, with over one hundred thousand hand-made drawings. The tagline for Redline during its release was 'Witness the Future of Animation' and it's safe to say the studio never doubted the creativity of the team behind the film. In that respect, the story delivers and then some. The crazy antics in Redline make it clear the film isn't to be taken too seriously it isn't a production that sets out to challenge our minds, but rather an exhilarating thrill-ride that's sole purpose is to entertain. The drama is at times cheesy, but it fits well with the films over-the-top attitude. The action is, as you would imagine fast, fantastic and full of adrenaline. The story - despite cliches - is both exhilarating and incredibly well paced. Produced by Madhouse, with second key animation from Gainax, music from James Shimoji and a cast and crew pumped with everlasting potential, this is certainly one of - if not the - most adrenaline filled anime film to date.Īs a film about racing, the plot is fairly standard fare, but the larger than life presentation coupled with the sheer imagination and creativity that has gone into Redline is second to none. Redline is an anime about racing, only presented like nothing seen before. If you’re looking for more advanced effects, you’re out of luck–Movie Maker 2011 really is designed for producing basic (though polished) movies, and fast.Takeshi Koike's debut feature seven years in the making.

You also can add captions and credits, and a soundtrack, if you’d like. If you’re feeling more ambitious, you can customize your movie a bit more, by trimming and splitting videos panning and zooming adding varied transitions adjusting brightness and adding visual effects, like black and white or sepia tones. You can select one of four AutoMovie themes, which will create your movie for you, adding a title and transitions. With the files imported, the storyboard makes it easy to visualize your finished movie, and to rearrange its contents as you’re working. The app supports a variety of file formats for importing, including WMV, AVCHD, QuickTime, AVI, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, and MOV video files, and JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP, ICO, PNG, and WDP photo files. Getting started is easy: you select the photos and/or videos you’d like to include in your finished product, and Movie Maker automatically arranges them into a storyboard-style layout. It’s designed to help you turn photos and videos into slideshows and movies, complete with soundtracks, captions, and transitions.

Movie Maker 2011 is part of Microsoft’s Windows Live Essentials pack you can choose to install all of the bundled software, or you can opt to pick and choose apps. Windows Live Movie Maker’s storyboard layout makes it easy to visualize your video clip, and to rearrange and edit its contents. And while Movie Maker is easy enough to use, and produces generally pleasing results, it’s also a bit limited–even by my standards. That’s why I thought Microsoft’s Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 (free) might be my perfect app, as it’s designed for casual users like me. It overwhelms me, offering too many options and not enough explanations to guide a moviemaking novice like me. I’ve always been a bit intimidated by video editing software.
